Do I need a reservation

Yep! Our tours often sell out , especially bus tours. Please book at least 30 minutes before start time. Walk-ups are welcome only if there’s space available.

What if I'm late? Where can I meet the group

Accepted Answer

Please don’t be! Arrive at least 10 minutes before departure time to check-in & so you don’t miss the fun—our tours always depart on time, as our team often has back-to-back tours and our guests often have other plans/reservations after.

You can try to meet up with the group at the next stops, but we cannot guarantee what time your tour group will be at each of these stops, as each tour moves at a different pace and your guide cannot answer phone calls/texts once the tour departs. Look for your guide in the neon yellow Discover Denver Tours shirt (tours listed in alphabetical order):
Discover Denver Bus Tours: The third stop at The Big Blue Bear in front of the Colorado Convention Center. Must be here by 10 minutes after departure time. Denver After Dark Walking Tours: Stoiberhof; NE corner of 10th & Humboldt. Must be here by 30 minutes after departure time. Use this pin in your maps app.
Free/pay-what-you-wish walking tour: The Denver Public Library or the Denver Art Museum. Use this pin in your maps app for the library. You must be here by 15 minutes past departure time. Use this pin for the Art Museum and you must be here by 20 minutes past the departure time.
Holiday Lights Walking & Bus Tours: It is not possible to meet up with these tours if you do not arrive on time.

Ultimate Denver Day Out Bus Tours: You can catch the group at Little Man Ice Cream (2620 16th St) for the second half of the tour. Must be here by 1 hour and 15 minutes after departure time. The arrival time of the bus depends greatly on traffic and could be anytime between 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 50 minutes after departure time. Use this pin in your maps app.

Can I bring my dog

Walking tours: Friendly, well-behaved, leashed pups are welcome on daytime tours (not evening tours). Just arrive early to let your guide know, stay at least 6' from other guests and check with fellow guests, as some have allergies to or fears of dogs and watch those hot sidewalks (pups paws can burn in 60 seconds and pavement is typically 20 degrees F hotter that air temperature!
Bus tours: Sorry, no dogs allowed.

What is the age minimum

Walking tours: Great for all ages (but you know your kids', it depends on your kiddo’s attention span!).
Ghost tours: Best for ages 10+.
Bus tours: Ages 5+ only (due to state car seat laws and insurance requirements).

What languages are tours in

English only at this time, unless you book a private tour and pay for an interpreter (additional cost for interpreter).

Do you offer private tours

Absolutely! We can have a variety of private walking or bus tours available or you can inquire about a custom tour.

What should I bring with me on my tour

Accepted Answer

Comfy shoes, water, sunscreen, layers (Colorado weather can include all four seasons in one day), and a sense of adventure!

Are tours disability-friendly

Accepted Answer

Walking tours: Flat routes, wheelchair/scooter accessible except our ghost tours (Denver After Dark tours), which have uneven sidewalks, and are not recommended for guests utilizing wheelchairs/scooters
Bus tours: No wheelchair lifts, but small mobility aids (canes, collapsible walkers) are fine. Just 3 steps on/off.
Tip: Tell your guide about any needs so they can adjust the walking tour route or assist with getting on/off the bus.

Where can I park

We recommend using either the SpotHero or ParkWhiz app to view all surface lot and parking garage options and pricing near your tour departure location.

You can also search your phone's maps app for "parking"

Street parking is only an option on Sundays, when it is free and there isn't a 2-hour maximum.

Are there restrooms available

Accepted Answer

There are no public restrooms on tour routes—please “go” before we go. Some tours have a mid-tour stop at a coffee shop, etc., and your guide can help find facilities, if needed.

Is there luggage storage

We recommend checking out LUGDEN, located across from Union Station. Only one of our buses has luggage storage, and we cannot guarantee which bus will operate each tour.

Question 13

Can I bring food or beverages on bus tours

Accepted Answer

We recommend eating/drinking before tours. If you need to bring food or drinks on the tour, please pack-it-in and pack-it-out with all trash and leave your seat as you found it. No alcoholic beverages are allowed.

Are there discounts available

We're proud to offer an array of Denver tours at an affordable price. We hope to offer military discounts in the future, if grant funding is received. 
We do offer discounts to guests who book 2+ tours with our team and you will see the option to add a 2nd tour at a discount during checkout of your first tour.

Question 15

Can I bring a lap child on the bus tours or share my seat

Accepted Answer

No, each guest must be a ticketed and paid for guest and each guest have their own seat and seatbelt, per state and insurance regulations. Bus tours are also only for guests ages 6+ only.

There are strict state law & regulations and insurance regulations that regulate the above standard operating procedures for all bus tour operators in Colorado and the maximum capacity of the bus is 14 guests total, of any age.
